We have been building award winning Ponds and Water features in the Peterborough, Northumberland, Clarington and Durham Regions since 2011.
Q: HELP! My pond is leaking! Relax, take a deep breath, everything will be fine! 90% of all pond leaks occur in areas where water leaves/re-enters the pond, such as a waterfall or fountain. The first thing you should try is the 24 Hour Test. Turn the pump off, top-up the pond, then monitor the water level over a period of 24 hours. If the water level remains the same over a 24 hour period while the pump(s) is shut off, you can safely rule out the pond liner and shift your focus to the waterfall, stream, or fountain.
Q: Does my pond need to be 4 feet deep to have koi fish? There are thousands of two-foot deep ponds around the country, full of happy and healthy Koi fish. But how? How important is depth? Click the link below to find out!
Q: Why do you charge a consultation fee?
We know this might seem strange and even a bit arrogant, and we apologize if it comes across that way. That is not at all our desire! Here’s what we face…..
We have become well known throughout the communities we serve as the go-to-company for awesome water features. And EVERYBODY wants a water feature in their backyard. And that’s a great thing, right!? But because of this, we get 100’s of requests to come out and look at backyards and help people dream and decide on how to bring out the most potential in a water feature. We love doing that and we are very good at it! However, not everyone can afford a properly installed, beautiful water feature. We are a small family run business and have learned many years ago that we could have our entire staff full time on the road helping people dream about their backyards, when a large percentage of them will never actually never be able to afford having us install anything for them. And of course, we would quickly go out of business doing that.
The $150 does not cover the cost for us to come out and spend several hours designing an outrageous piece of art for your back yard. But it does help us sort out who is serious and who isn’t. After six years in business, we find that if $150 gives someone pause, good chances are they won’t be comfortable investing in a properly installed water feature. As a Certified Aquascape Contractor, we have put a lot of time, thought, energy and money into educating ourselves to be one of the best water feature designers you will find. We look at our time just like a doctor looks at their time. It would be unheard of for a doctor to give of his time and expertise free of charge, right?
We hope this explains why we charge a consultation fee. We have installed many water features and have never yet had anyone complain that the consultation fee wasn’t worth it! So give us a try and we’re certain you will be glad you did!
